You will need
1 x sheet of Rose coloured felt
1 sheet of Lime green felt
Green embroidery
thread
Broach back
1 x small yellow pom-pom
Glue gun
Method
To make the petals, cut the petal shape out from the
pattern, cut out around 18 shapes increasing in size; starting from about 1 cm
in height for the inner petals to about 2cm for the outer ones.
To create the rose, pinch the smallest inner petal and glue
the next petal facing inwards around it.
Repeat this working your way around to create the entire rose. Glue the
small pom-pom to the middle.
From the lime green felt, use shearing scissors to cut out
two leaf shapes. Embroider the inner leaf veins, then pinch ends and glue into
place on the back of the rose.
Cut a circle of felt around 5cms wide and glue to the back
of the rose to neaten up, and hold all pieces securely together.
Glue the broach back to the middle of the circle, being
careful to ensure it is placed in the correct position for pinning.
